Materials Driving Next-Generation Thermal Imaging

Abstract: Demand for thermal imaging systems has surged over the past two years as both commercial and defense markets for this dual-use technology expand. Meeting this demand requires scaling sensor production to massive volumes without compromising performance. In this talk, I will present several materials-based strategies that address key performance and scalability challenges in current microbolometer technology. These advances pave the way for the widespread adoption of next-generation thermal imaging systems worldwide.
