  Civil War"\n\nDr. Michelle Honeybun\, The University of Olivet\n\n \n\nDr.
  Michelle Honeybun graduated from the University of Exeter\, UK\, in Februa
 ry 2024 with a Ph.D. in English. She is also an alumnus of Bath Spa Univers
 ity and the University of Bristol\, UK. She is currently teaching at the Un
 iversity of Olivet in Michigan. Her research focuses on transatlantic poetr
 y in the American Civil War and examines how national personifications beca
 me conduits for protest.\n\n \n\n"Justice Seldom Found: Slavery in Mexico a
 nd Texas\, 1732-1804"\n\nDr. Anderson Hagler\, Western Michigan University\
 n\n \n\nDr. Anderson Hagler is an Assistant Professor in the Department of 
 World Religions and Cultures at Western Michigan University. His forthcomin
 g monograph\, Sins of Excess: The Spatial Politics of Idolatry and Magic in
  Colonial Mexico\, will be published jointly with The University of Oklahom
 a Press and the Academy of American Franciscan History. Anderson has publis
 hed articles in peer-reviewed journals such as The Americas\, Slavery & Abo
 lition\, and Ethnohistory. He has a forthcoming publication on magic and he
 aling with the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Latin American History.\n\n 
 \n\n_______\n\n \n\nIn Honor of Dr. Harland Hagler\n\n \n\nThe event is nam
 ed after former UNT professor Dr. Harland Hagler (1937-2023). Dr. Hagler ta
 ught southern history at UNT for 51 years before retiring in 2017. He creat
 ed the first course at North Texas dedicated to the study of African Americ
 an history in 1969 and was a beloved professor and colleague.\n\n \n\nParki
