Anthropological Praxis and Community Engagement in an Uncertain World

Join us on April 9, 2026, at Sycamore Hall for a dynamic day of student-led research, dialogue, and collaboration. This event brings together undergraduate and graduate students from UNT and partner institutions around the world to explore pressing issues in anthropology, including migration, healthcare, climate change, and social justice.

Through a combination of virtual and in-person sessions, as well as poster presentations, participants will engage with innovative research that highlights the power of anthropological praxis in addressing real-world challenges. Virtual sessions will be accessible via Zoom (Room A and Room B links provided below), making it easy for attendees to join from anywhere.

The day will conclude with a special panel celebrating 25 years of graduate education in UNT Anthropology.
