About this Event
1624 Chestnut St., Denton, TX 76201
Early career faculty are invited to join Faculty Success on the first Tuesday of each month from 2-3:30 p.m. for Tuesday Talon Tidbits. During this time, we share tidbits of information specific to early career faculty needs such as time management, developing a mentor network, teaching and research support, and building a digital presence. More importantly, we offer respite and engage in a community of networking and support! Light refreshments served.
The Early Career Faculty Learning Community is designed to support new (first 3 years) and early career (before first promotion/career midpoint) faculty. If you are interested in supporting this learning community or leading an activity, contact Dr. Yolanda Mitchell, Faculty Director for Teaching Development and Effectiveness, at yolanda.mitchell@unt.edu.
Professional development activities supported by the Early Career Faculty Learning Community include:
• Lunch & learns
• Planning meetings/retreats
• Workshops, speakers, expert panels
• Book reads/discussions
• Watch parties (e.g., NCFDD, Chronicle of Higher Education webinars on research, well-being, strategic planning, PT, research webinars, etc.).
