The College of Health & Public Service welcomes Dr. Jomella Watson-Thompson, University of Kansas Associate Vice Provost of Community Impact and professor in their Department of Applied Behavioral Science, for a research presentation on The Road Taken: Contributions to Advancing Community-Engaged Scholarship to Improve Health and Well-Being.
Overview: Community coalitions facilitate changes in community outcomes and conditions by addressing key issues and determinants of health and well-being. This study examines the process by which community coalitions address community-prioritized urban health determinants, aiming to improve living conditions in neighborhoods.
