The University of North Texas (UNT) College of Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering are pleased to announce an upcoming workshop dedicated to building a premier global research network. This initiative brings together UNT faculty, Department of Defense (DoD) laboratories, and leading international institutions to drive innovation in energy production, management, and distribution.

Workshop Objectives

This strategic gathering is designed to elevate our research ecosystem through three primary goals:

  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Launching new research programs that directly enhance student learning and academic success.
  • Knowledge Exchange: Disseminating cutting-edge research outcomes through invited expert presentations.
  • Strategic Networking: Establishing a robust pipeline for external funding, e.g., targeting DoD opportunities and the 2026 Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI) grant.

Why Attend?

For faculty and researchers, this workshop is a gateway to high-impact scholarly excellence and international partnerships.

For students, it offers a unique opportunity to engage with global experts, enriching your academic experience and opening doors to future research careers.

By fostering these global connections, we aim to strengthen the College of Engineering’s research capabilities, improve student graduation rates, and solidify UNT’s reputation as a leader in international engineering innovation.
