Course Description

In this workshop, we will cover important safety awareness when using solder and soldering tools. Then join us in building a kit to teach the foundation for through-hole soldering techniques. After you have successfully assembled the kit, you will have a better knowledge of through-hole soldering and the tools, methods, and terminology for soldering.

Course Goals and Objectives

The goal of the course is to have students develop and enrich their understanding of soldering, while completing a hands on soldering project.

NOTE: This session is taught inside the Pettinger Center for Innovation and Design M152/4 and participants must comply with Pettinger Center dress code requirements which include:

• Must be wearing closed toe shoes
• Must wear long pants
• Safety goggles are required (provided)
