View map Free EventCNC or Computer Numerical Control machining is a type of subtractive manufacturing. The Spark has Desktop CNC milling machines available for students to delve into the subtractive manufacturing technique and learn, experiment, and or create projects for class or personal use.
Weather you have prior experience or are new to the technology, the first step in using the CNC machines at The Spark is completing one of these trainings. In this training, the trainer will introduce you to the CNC technology, safety considerations, tools and available modeling resources, hands on use of the machine, best practices and policies and use guidelines.
The training includes an overview of safety, policies and procedures for use, resources for designing projects, how to schedule future operator appointments, and materials that will be required for future use of the machine.
