Lewis's Mere Christianity, an excellent introduction to the foundational essence of Christian theology common to the many various traditions. Adapted from a series of radio talks in Britain during WWII, one of its primary goals was to revitalize the heart of a nation torn apart by war. We will consider Lewis's arguments and rhetoric both in their original cultural context, and to what extent they remain effective today.
Our study will also focus on relating Lewis's arguments to our own understandings of theology, so as to better appreciate the ways in which our various traditions differ, and especially come to understand more keenly the great mystery that in Christ we who are many are one body.
Copies of the book are available at no cost!
