Patrick Strickland is a Journalist and author from North Texas who has reported from some fifteen countries across Europe, The Middle East, and North America. His reportage has appeared in The New York Review of Books, The Nation, The New Republic, Politico, The Guardian, Vice, In These Times, Al Jazeera, and elsewhere! He is the Author of Altera! Altera! and The Marauders and is currently the news editor of The Dallas Observer.

He will host this meet and greet, open to all UNT students, to talk about opportunities to create international careers in journalism and other forms of writing, as well as experiences as a first-generation college student at UNT. Snacks will be provided.
