In this intermediate workshop participants will identify and practice strategies for responding to incidents of bias, including “calling in,” “calling out,” and bystander intervention. Participants will explore scenarios of how to interrupt microaggression as they happen or after they’ve occurred and how to process feedback on their own biases. Participants will also practice strategies for remaining calm, non-judgmental, and assertive.

Objectives: By the end of this session participants will be able to:

• Identify strategies for accepting feedback on their own biases
• Evaluate when to use “calling in” or “calling out” strategies
• Practice non-judgmentally giving and receiving feedback about biases
