GIS DAY 2025

GIS Day is an annual international event that celebrates Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Held on the third Wednesday of November, it provides a platform for educators, professionals, students, and the public to share and explore how GIS technology addresses real-world challenges.

This year’s theme is “Geo-Generalist Era: Where Spatial Meets Everything.” The Department of Geography and the Environment will host the event on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in the Environmental Science Building from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The program will feature tables from local businesses and government agencies, along with presentations and poster sessions.
