The UNT CoLab is proud to host the Denton Black Film Festival 2026 Art Exhibition, Locating Courage and Hope.

This curated collection of works brings together four artists who powerfully expand this year’s festival theme. Through drawing, photography, sculpture, and printmaking, the exhibition highlights artistic risk-taking as an act of bravery. Each artist reimagines everyday people, places, and materials, demonstrating how the creative process can serve as a tool for empowerment, transformation, and collective possibility.
