MacArthur Fellow Wendy Red Star brings her powerful, multidisciplinary practice to the University of North Texas for a special lecture as part of the Nasher Lecture Series.
Rooted in the histories, archives and living knowledge of the Apsáalooke Nation (pronounced opp-sah-loh-kay), Red Star’s work uses humor as a deliberate and disruptive tool — drawing viewers in while confronting complex and often uncomfortable truths. Her practice challenges how history is told, seen and remembered.
