Camp Craig Allen 2019 BBQ cook-off

Camp Craig Allen will host its 12th Annual Amateur BBQ Cook-Off October 11-12, 2019 at Toyota Stadium, South Blue Lot (9200 World Cup Way, Frisco, TX, 75033). It will be a two-day event starting Friday, October 11, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. for ticket holders and Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Camp Craig Allen will have great Texas country music, in the “music fest” in the wildly successful and fun BBQ Cook-off Fundraiser Weekend.

The kick-off party and concert are Friday night from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. for ticket holders and includes casino tables, live bands, cash bars, a live auction and dinner buffet from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets will be $25. Tickets can be purchased on the website or at the gate. On Friday, there will also be awards given for Best Margarita, Best Bloody Mary, and Best BBQ Team Decoration. Friday will be the perfect date night for all adults.

On Saturday, October 12, gates are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with an awards ceremony on the main stage at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 per day. Tickets give you unlimited sampling of all entries including BBQ and desserts. The festivities will last throughout the day with the BBQ competition, jalapeño-eating contest, kids area, silent auction, live music, life-size Jenga and wheelchair sports. Back this year will be the Kids Q (cooking challenge), with 8 kid teams competing at 1:30 p.m. in front of the main stage. Saturday will be family focused with plenty of events for everyone.

Registration is now open for BBQ Teams, Sponsors and Vendors on the Camp Craig Allen website, listed above. Corporate teams are encouraged to participate as it is the best team building opportunity. This fundraiser is a great opportunity to assist Camp Craig Allen in providing a better quality of life to those kids, adults, and veterans living with physical disabilities and their families.
