Matthew Bourbon, associate professor and program coordinator of drawing and painting at the University of North Texas, will present his works during the solo exhibition, “Sense and Reason,” Oct. 6 (Friday) – Nov. 11 (Saturday) at UNT on the Square. A reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 6.
The hours of the exhibit are 9 a.m. - noon and 1 - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday, with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturdays.
Bourbon’s art has been figurative, featuring people, action and narratives. But many of the works in this show are more abstract, or contain text, and incorporate materials such as stretched fabric and plywood.
