The Important Role of Teachers for Student Success at UNT
January 10, 2013 – 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

UNT has a strong commitment to undergraduate education; a quality undergraduate education requires quality instructors! A one-day seminar is scheduled for January 10, 2013 at the Gateway Center to provide new instructors at UNT with access to best practices in teaching and supportive resources. This seminar is sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the Toulouse School (TGS), and the Center for Learning Enhancement, Assessment and Redesign (CLEAR).

This seminar is mandatory for all new TAs and TFs. All new adjunct faculty, tenure track faculty, and lecturers are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Purpose of the seminar

The purpose of this one-day seminar is to provide an opportunity for participants to explore effective teaching practices and resources for assisting students. In addition to sharing ideas with one another, seminar participants will have the chance to meet UNT faculty from many departments who will describe and demonstrate effective teaching practices using examples from their own classrooms..
