University of North Texas alumna Linda Ohrn-McDaniels’s designs focus on formal design elements, such a circles, hearts, and knit stitches, combined in this exhibition with the idea of coming back. Ohrn-McDaniel’s first solo exhibition in Sweden in 2000 set her on a career in fashion, using clothing as a form of expression. Through themes surrounding circles and hearts, she explores textures, color, shape, and fit. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and she has earned numerous awards, including the Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence. Linda Ohrn-McDaniel earned her B.Ed. in Textiles and English from Uppsala University and her M.F.A. in Fashion Design from the UNT College of Visual Arts and Design. She currently teaches at Kent State University.
