ORCA hosts the Art and Science of Animal Training Conference every spring at the University of North Texas. The conference, now going into its sixth year, brings together animal trainers and behavior analysts for lectures and conversations about the science of animal training and about “what’s new” in animal training.

The conference has gained a reputation as one of the country’s top animal training conferences. As well, it is one of the few conferences that brings together animal trainers from a variety of fields, including dog trainers, horse trainers, zoo trainers, marine mammal trainers, bird trainers, and more. In 2013, attendees came from 22 US states, as well as 4 foreign countries.
