This upcoming Fall 2018, Orientation and Transition Programs will begin its 11th year of the ACCESS Mentoring Program for UNT students. We are currently recruiting Faculty/Staff mentors for the 2018-2019 academic year and we would love to have representatives from every department participate. We believe this is an excellent opportunity for our students to connect with UNT outside of the classroom, and enhance their learning experience.
The role of an ACCESS mentor is not meant to be a time-consuming commitment, but a rewarding experience. If you decide to participate in the program, all we ask is that:
- You complete a mentor orientation session
- Agree to serve for a full academic year
- Interact with your mentees (individually or as a group) at least once a month.
If you think this is a role you would like to fulfill; please complete the online application using this link: https://orgsync.com/61139/forms/322329 by August 1, 2018.
If you would like more information, call our office at 940-565-4198 or visit our website at transition.unt.edu/mentoring. Your knowledge and experience is an invaluable resource for our students, and we look forward to partnering with you to help our students succeed.
